Volvo FH has handling characteristics above the ordinary. We’ve virtually designed every part of the truck to contribute to the stable feel and precise steering. It’s also a chassis that’s easy to build on, saving time at the bodybuilders. A multitude of options facilitate tailoring.Our aim was to create a solid, flowing shape, instead of a front and two sides. This is why the lines and graphics sweep around the whole cab. The truck’s stance, its visual attitude, was a key consideration, too. The form expresses the truck’s efficiency and dynamics. It appears to lean forward, wheels pressing at the ground. It’s bold. TTANDEM AXLE LIFT

Your Volvo FH is now available with the all-new Tandem Axle Lift, a revolutionary feature that allows the rearmost drive axle to be disengaged and raised when you unload. Just like a tag axle, this greatly improves the turning radius and reduces fuel consumption.

Numerous specification options make your Volvo FH quick and easy to prepare for any application, including swap-bodies. The new electronic Bodybuilder Module is simple to tap into, while Volvo Bodybuilder Instructions provide online access to all the technical drawings and wiring diagrams needed. It’s also a chassis that’s easy to build on, saving time at the bodybuilders. TRACTOR CHASSIS

1. Battery box (BBOX-L)
300 millimetres further forward than previous design, offering 100–120 litres more fuel capacity.
2. Battery box (BBOX-EF)
Optional placement in the rear between the chassis frames.
3. Air Production Modulator

RIGID CHASSISA

1. Free frame space
Chassis packaging can be moved backwards to give space for crane legs or other equipment. (FAA10 – approx. 500 millimetres; FAA20 – approx. 600 millimetres).
2. Frame body builder hole row
The upper hole row is reserved for the body builder. All brackets have an offset and 8 millimetre spacer. No rivets are used.
3. Crane preparation
The chassis can be factory mounted with crane plates.
4. Rear air suspension and short rear end A redesigned forward-mounted stabiliser bar has the ability to reduce rear overhang – beneficial for construction applications and, asphalt-layer interface and swapbody applications.
